Before choosing your device

Lipedema can be associated with heavy-feeling legs, discomfort and a desire for more regular drainage support in everyday life.

  • A complementary role
A comfort routine that does not replace your medical care.

  • Legs, hips or arms: coverage should match the areas you need to address.

  • Tissue sensitivity and pressure settings should be discussed with your healthcare professional.

Important

Eclipse© devices are designed to support everyday comfort. If you are unsure whether pneumatic compression is appropriate for you, speak with your healthcare professional.

Important: pneumatic compression does not cure lipedema and does not directly reduce the characteristic adipose tissue associated with the condition. It may be used as a comfort-focused complement within broader care.

Frequently asked questions

Choisir le bon dispositif, organiser ses séances et comprendre les résultats réalistes d’une routine Eclipse dédiée à la cellulite.

Which Eclipse device should you choose to target the appearance of cellulite?

The right choice mainly depends on the areas you want to target. Compression boots are well suited when the feeling of swelling is mainly in the legs. Air compression pants also cover the thighs, hips and lower abdomen. To focus more on skin texture and appearance, LED Therapy can complement the routine.

Can pneumatic compression completely eliminate cellulite?

No. Pneumatic compression does not remove every cause of cellulite. It can, however, support drainage routines, ease feelings of congestion and temporarily improve the visible appearance when dimpling is accentuated by swelling. Results vary depending on the type of cellulite, lifestyle and consistency of use.

Should you choose an 8- or 12-chamber pneumatic compression device?

The Eclipse 8-chamber range already delivers progressive, detailed compression for a premium at-home routine. The 12C PRO range segments the target area more finely and provides a more advanced experience. The right choice also depends on the fit of the device, available programs, areas to cover and the level of personalization you want.

How often should pneumatic compression be used in an anti-swelling routine?

A routine of 20–30 minutes, three to five times per week is a common reference point. Start with comfortable pressure, then adjust gradually according to how you feel. Consistency is generally more important than using very high pressure.

Can pneumatic compression and LED Therapy be combined?

Yes, because the two technologies address different goals. Pneumatic compression mainly supports drainage routines and a feeling of lightness. LED Therapy focuses more on the visible appearance, texture and firmness of the skin. They can therefore be incorporated into the same routine, while following the user manuals and your own tolerance.

Pneumatic compression and lipedema: an at-home comfort approach

Lipedema is a chronic condition that can be associated with heavy-feeling legs, pain, day-to-day discomfort and increased tissue sensitivity. In this context, pneumatic compression may be considered as a comfort-focused tool to support a feeling of lighter legs and a consistent at-home routine. Conservative approaches to lipedema management can include compression and symptom-management strategies.

For many women with lipedema, the goal is not purely aesthetic. It is also about improving day-to-day comfort, building consistency into a routine and finding supportive measures that fit real life. Pneumatic compression can have a place in that broader approach as a complementary at-home tool, alongside professional care where appropriate.

Why women with lipedema may consider pneumatic compression

Lipedema most commonly affects the legs and can be accompanied by persistent discomfort, a feeling of swelling or tissue tightness. Sequential pneumatic compression applies graduated pressure to the limbs and can provide a mechanical compression and drainage sensation. In the context of lipedema, some women therefore use this technology as part of a comfort-focused routine, particularly for the feeling of relaxation and lighter legs after a session.

Lipedema in the legs: where can an at-home compression routine fit?

When lipedema primarily affects the legs, many women look for an option that is practical, repeatable and easy to integrate at home. An air-compression routine can meet that need through sessions that can be repeated without travelling to an appointment. The value of an at-home device lies in that consistency: building a routine, monitoring how you feel and using it as one element of broader care.

Choosing an air-compression device for lipedema: comfort, consistency and broader support

Choosing an air-compression device when you live with lipedema is rarely just about buying a machine. It is often about finding a reassuring, repeatable option that fits a genuine self-care routine. The value of an at-home device therefore depends on several factors: ease of use, comfort during sessions, the quality of sequential compression and how naturally it can fit into everyday life.
