Frequently asked questions about our compression boots

What is the difference between compression boots and LED Therapy boots?

Air-compression boots and LED Therapy boots are complementary technologies, but they work in very different ways.

  • Air-compression boots use sequential pneumatic compression to create a progressive massage sensation across the legs. They are designed for routines focused on comfort, a feeling of drainage and lighter legs.
  • LED Therapy uses 660 nm red light and 850 nm near-infrared light delivered by 528 LEDs. It is focused more directly on skin appearance and quality, supporting a routine for smoother-looking, more even and more toned skin.

Some customers choose to combine the two: air compression for a drainage-focused leg routine and LED Therapy for the visible appearance of the skin.

What are compression boots?

Compression boots are leg sleeves connected to a control unit that inflates multiple air chambers in sequence. This sequential pneumatic compression creates a progressive massage sensation across the legs and can support a feeling of drainage and lighter legs. They are designed for convenient at-home air-compression routines. Discover our air-compression devices.

  • Helps relieve heavy-feeling legs • Supports a drainage-focused routine • Fast feeling of lightness

How do you use compression boots at home?

Get comfortable, put on the boots and connect the air tubes. Choose your program, start with a low to moderate pressure and a session of around 20–30 minutes. Increase pressure only if it remains comfortable throughout the session.

  • Simple ritual • 3–5 sessions per week depending on your routine • Guided programs • Easy to use

Can compression boots be used every day?

Some people choose to use compression boots regularly, including daily, provided sessions remain comfortable and pressure is appropriate. Frequency should be adapted to how you feel. If you have a medical condition such as lymphedema or lipedema, ask a healthcare professional for personalised advice.

  • Consistency matters • Adjust settings to your comfort

Are compression boots useful after exercise?

Sequential compression can be a comfortable addition to a post-exercise routine, particularly when your legs feel tired or heavy. It can complement basics such as hydration, mobility work, rest and sleep.

  • Relaxing leg-care sensation • Easy post-workout routine

How do you choose the right compression boots?

Look at the number and arrangement of air chambers, adjustable pressure range, available programs, noise level, sizing and extensions, battery life, warranty and customer support. Most importantly, choose a device that fits your body and is comfortable enough to use consistently.

  • Comfort and ergonomics • Fit and available extensions • Reliable warranty and support

Are there contraindications to pneumatic compression?

Yes. Pneumatic compression may be unsuitable in situations including known or suspected deep-vein thrombosis, acute phlebitis, decompensated heart failure, open wounds or active skin infections beneath the sleeves, and severe uncontrolled hypertension. Pregnancy and certain health conditions require professional advice. If in doubt, speak with your doctor before use.

  • Use with the right precautions • Seek medical advice when appropriate

Personal guidance for your air-compression device

Getting the most from an air-compression device starts with understanding its programs and pressure settings. That is why clear guidance matters.

Whether you are choosing a device or learning how to use compression boots, pants or a belt, personalised support can help you build a comfortable and consistent routine.

Practical advice to make every session easier

Session duration, pressure intensity and consistency all influence how an air-compression routine feels. Good guidance helps you understand the settings, start gradually and create a routine suited to your priorities — whether that is everyday leg comfort, a drainage-focused ritual or post-exercise relaxation.

Customer care and expertise at the heart of the Eclipse experience

A premium air-compression device is about more than technology. Clear guidance and responsive customer care are essential to a reassuring long-term experience.

Our team is available to answer questions, help troubleshoot and support you as you get to know your device.
